Objective: To assess if micro-accelerometers and gyroscopes may provide useful information for the detection of breathing disturbances in further studies. Approach: Forty-three healthy volunteers performed a 10 s end-expiratory breath-hold, while ballistocardiograph (BCG) and seismocardiograph (SCG) determined changes in kinetic energy and its integral over time (iK, J • s).
