The last few years have seen a surge of inquiry into modern propaganda methods, especially Russian hybrid warfare, disinformation and related direct action campaigns. This is one of my unclassified contributions. There are others on this earth who are light-years ahead of me on uses of social media, but by any measure those are transforming ancient propaganda techniques into ever more efficient, "weaponized" versions.
