The General Accounting Office (GAO)examined the actions FAA has taken to address the recommendations raised by NRCand FAA's advisory committee. In this report, the GAO discusses FAA's actionsin four areas of concern raised by one report by the National Research Council(NRC) and two reports by an FAA advisory committee: (1) policy and leadership,(2) interagency coordination, (3) meeting different types of users' needs forweather information, and (4) the level of funding provided for weatheractivities.84
