International audienceAbstract. This study deals with the training of elementary school teachers, and the way their praxeologies are used during foreign language lessons, and with conditions and constraints they meet in their English classes. The analysis of these different aspects is performed by using tools provided by the anthropological theory of the didactic (ATD). Based on official resources, such as the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and school programs (BO n°8 of august, 30th, 2007), this research studies, in a clinical approach and through interviews and film transcriptions of English classes, two teachers teaching English.
