GIS-IIS is a tool to have aneasy access to intersection inventory data, photographs, and videos of each approach as well as anability to query the information. It is set up to be expended to include other types of intersection relateddata. Procedures were developed to field data collection and processing along with a process forintegrating multimedia and other traffic signal information into the GIS framework. It is recommendedto expand the scope of GIS-IIS so it becomes a statewide intersection inventory system. The methods ofexpanding GIS-IIS to create a comprehensive information system that incorporates information such astraffic, geometric, construction, maintenance, and intersection accident data should be studied
