The workshop was sponsored by UMTA's Office of Bus and Paratransit Systems, in cooperation with the American Public Transit Association's Bus Technology Liaison Board. Summaries of the individual speeches made during the general session and of the three working groups are in this document. The Workshop included: Introductory general session on the status of the transit industry and bus technology; three parallel working groups reviewing: (a) critical components of the vehicle; (b) maintenance facilities and rehabilitation and; (c) procurement aspects; and brief summary session for concluding remarks
