This phase included gathering historical Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) right-of-wayacquisition information, analyzing statistical information, and then developing simulation and optimizationtools for TxDOT right-of-way sections and budget decision makers. These tools are designed to providedecision support as optimal strategies for use of early right-of-way acquisition methods are considered atproject, district, and state levels. Implementation planning includes cooperative use of the tools with selecteddistricts. This project also included a research team review of TxDOT\ue2\u20ac\u2122s fleet vehicle replacement strategiesand assessment of potential use of business science tools to assist decision makers in this area of operations
