Properly placed P&R facilities are expected to result in fewer callsto increase capacity by widening roadways, reduced congestion, increased transit ridership, promotion ofmultimodal transport and cleaner air for all of us to breathe.This Preliminary Investigation aims to expand on a 2005 Caltrans project that considered P&R and high-occupancyvehicle (HOV) transit enhancements1.
