As a critical part of achieving these goals, the U.S. DOT contracted with a Team led by Battelleto integrate and validate connected vehicle on-board equipment (OBE) and safety applications on selected Class8 commercial vehicles and to support those vehicles in research and testing activities that provide information anddata needed to assess their safety benefits and support regulatory decision processes. Driver Clinics are beingconducted as a part of this project to evaluate acceptance of the connected vehicle technology and safetyapplications by drivers who are previously unfamiliar with the technology.This document describes the hardware to be installed in Integrated Trucks, how it will be installed, and how thisinstallation will be tested
