The national intercity bus industry and other states' studies of and programs for the industry were also examined. Information concerning Virginia's regulation of the industry, state-imposed fees and taxes on the industry, and operating and financial characteristics of the industry was collected. Conclusions regarding the industry were developed, and recommendations regarding Virginia's response to industry problems and issues were made
