During the summer (June \ue2\u20ac\u201c September 2007) and winter (January \ue2\u20ac\u201c February 2008), six sites were deployed for approximately 30 days each. The baseline data collected during this period will help park managers and planners estimate the effects of future noise impacts and will help to inform future park planning objectives such as creating soundscape management plans, as well as the development of an Air Tour Management Plan (ATMP), which provides for the regulation of commercial air tours. The sound sources of concern at GGNRA include developments near park boundaries, air tours, commercial and private aircraft activities, and requests for special use permits for noisy activities.
