Given the large quantities of lime requiredfor implementing a global soil stabilization, it is theinterest of transportation agencies if inexpensive sourcesof soil stabilizer can be utilized for subgradestabilization. One potential resource can be utilized isthe lime sludge produced from drinking water plants.The purpose of this study is to conduct pilot experimentsto assess the feasibility of lime sludge for subgradestabilization.
