International audienceSelf-reinforced Composites based on thermoplastic matrix, also called SRP (Self-Reinforced Polymers), highly respond to optimum mechanical properties and lightweight requirements, but before all, to environmental concerns regarding composites recycling. The thermo-mechanical characterization of SRPE (Poly-Ethylene matrix) is the first major step in developing a material behavior law. This study shows the effect of the yarn’s quantity on the mechanical behavior of SRPE, PE matrix and yarns while also considering the thermal properties obtained by DSC analysis.
