In 2010, Portugal was facing a financial crisis scenario, where traditional retailers need to modernize their business model, to increase sales and engage new customers. Since the consumer’s lifestyle was changing, retailers were forced to establish strategic alliances with other market players, such as Recheio Cash & Carry. The following dissertation, in a form of Case Study, intend to study a strategic alliance established between Recheio and traditional grocery stores (The Project Amanhecer).
