An outcome evaluation on the skills for youth employment and rural development program by International Labor Organization in Mt Darwin District.

An outcome evaluation to determine whether the program for Skills for Youth Employment and Rural Development in Mount Darwin District by ILO achieved the intended the results or not. To successfully accomplish the task, the researcher used questionnaires, in-depth interview with key informants, focus group discussions and review of program documents to collect information from key informants, government departments, beneficiaries and local community leaders. The researcher use triangulated methods in data analysis and the data was presented through charts, graphs and tables. The conducted research reviewed that the program for Skills for Youth Employment and Rural Development achieved most of its planned objective and the livelihoods of young people has improved. It was also noted that beneficiaries from most impoverished families had their project at heart and they were committed. Various recommendations were also put across for future programs to take heed of in order to achieve the intended outcome
