This paper is a position paper on the future of management. A literature review of recent notable topics in management was done and from these topics it was hypothesized how management will unfold in future and the impact on social change. Management in the future will evolve in order to be suitable to emergent forms of global organizing which will be highly flexible to adapt to rapid changes in the external environment. Management in the future will also be much more dependent on the use of information communication technologies. There will be a need for new forms of management models as leading in a virtual organization will be different from leading in a traditional organization
