Since its emergence in the 1980s,the HumanImmuno-deficiency Virus(HIV),the causative agent of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) has claimed the lives of millions of people(20 million), and continues to exert significance socio-economic and public health burden, around the globe.
