The principal goal of planners and decision makers concerned with the economic development of Texas is to increase the level of economic activity, particularly total income and employment. In order to increase economic activity, it is necessary to evaluate the potentials of different sectors as the means of doing so. This study considers the potential direct and indirect effects that might result from induced changes in output, income, and employment for different sectors of the Texas economy.
