The purpose of this project is to discuss basic idea of precise satellite positioning. When it comes to positioning area, GPS has been acknowledged to be the most popular concept. However, positioning signal is not simple as that. With this in mind, GNSS is actually the ultimate definition of positioning satellite. Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) refers to all constellations of satellite providing positioning signal from the space down to the Earth. Besides GPS developed by USA, GNSS includes Russia’s GLONASS, Europe’s Galileo and China’s Beidou Navigation Satellite System.
