ROLE OF HADITHS IN THE STRUGGLE AGAINST THE DANGER OF TAKFIR

Today the fact that the concepts such as “takfir”, “hijra”, “jihad” and “martyrdom” are interpreted wrongly by different extremist groups and organizations is observed. Especially, the concept of “takfir” that used by these sects in an another sense was developed because of wrong interpretation of real content of hadiths, mistakes made in the commentaries as well as in understanding of hadiths and it is considered as one of the troubles that has threatened Muslims since the early period of Islam till now. In fact, this concept is used now for declaring war against Muslims and trespassing on their lifes and riches corruptly. The paper explains real content of the concepts of “kufr” and “takfir” on basis of the teaching of Ahl al-Sunna wa al-Jama`a. Threat and dangerous consequenses of takfir that used by fanatic sects to the human development, peace, especially to the unity of Muslims were analyzed and views of these sects on the issue of takfir were denied on basis of verses from Qur`an and hadiths. The fact that blaming Muslims as unbelievers is forbidden was explained on basis of the primary sources of Islam.
