This article analizes the poetic works “Poet in New York” by Federico Garcia Lorca, from Spain, and “Chernobyl’s Tree” by Lucila Velasquez, from Venezuela, in which wise and judicious voices point the dangers existing in the non-ethic use of the scientific and technological advances, denounce the abuses made and alert about the future of the planet, without sacrificing the lyric expression for transmitting its message.
