This study aimed at analyzing the interfaces of training, knowledge and human development of students in Physical School Education. It was based on a pedagogical intervention, with track and field content emphasizing historical and cultural aspects. In the process of introducing and contextualizing the tried theme, the game was chosen as a learning tool. The units were determined by the track and field tests of running, pitching and jumping. The experiment was carried out in a group of twenty-five students of the 6th grade of a Public School in the Municipality of São Jose (SC), Brazil. The classes were filmed for later analysis.
