Neuroimaging with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has made great contributions to our understanding of neurological diseases. Among the many different imaging techniques, myelin water imaging (MWI) appears to be particularly promising for investigating white matter microstructure, particularly in terms of its myelin content.
