The effects of betain added to drinking water on broiler fattening performance and carcass parts yields

Bu çalışmada, içme sularına katılan betainin etlik piliç (broyler) besi performansı ve gövde parça oranları üzerine etkisi incelenmiştir. Denemede toplam 306 adet günlük yaşta Ross 308 karışık cinsiyette etlik civciv Kontrol grubu, Doz 1 grubu (D1) ve Doz 2 grubu (D2) olarak rasgele üç gruba ayrılmıştır. Ayrıca, bu grupların her biri 17 civciv içeren altı tekrar grubuna ayrılmıştır. Deneme 47 gün sürmüştür. Deneme süresince, Kontrol, D1 ve D2 gruplarına içme suyu ile sırasıyla 0 ppm, 500 ppm ve 1000 ppm dozlarında betain verilmiştir. İzokalorik ve izonitrojenik yemler ile içme suyu deneme süresince ad libitum olarak sunulmuştur. Deneme sonunda, göğüs ve but etlerinin kuru madde, ham protein ve ham yağ oranlarına ait değerler arasındaki gruplar arası farklar önemsiz bulunmuştur (P>0.05). Bütün but oranı, D2’de Kontrol grubuna göre düşüktür (P0.05). Leg quarter yield in D2 was signicantly lower than C (P<0.01). Leg meat yield in D1 was significantly higher than D2 (P<0.01), whereas D1 and D2 were not different from C. Feed conversion ratio (P<0.01), carcass dressing percentage (P<0.001), breast meat yield (P<0.001), feed to carcass, breast and total meat ratio (P<0.001) were significantly improved in D1 and D2 when compared to C.
