Girls' Glee Club of 1929-1930

A wide angle group photograph of thirty-two young women who consisted of the Westminster College's Girl's Glee Club of the 1929-1930 academic year. The young women are all wearing light colored dresses. Some of these dresses are sleeveless while others have sleeves midway or covering the full length of their arms. All the women have their heads covered with white caps that have elastic headbands. The women in the front row are wearing hosiery and dark shoes except for the woman seated at the very right hand side. Women in the second row wear hosiery and wear dark shoes as well. The third row's footwear is obscured from view. The group is poised in a stringent three row formation with the front row sitting in chairs and the second row standing on the floor and the back row probably standing on a riser. Part of the group is either looking directly at the camera and the others are looking off in another direction. The group is also poised on a stage in front of a pleated dark stage curtThe photograph is in poor condition. It has a tear at the bottom left hand corner and the top center from being forced off a hard backing to which it was glued to for many years. The back is covered with glue stains and the following is written in pen: "Girls Glee Club Westminster College 1929-1930." Written in pencil is, "4 inches wide 120 [?] [?] Sugarhouse." The photograph has been removed from its original cardboard backing. A label attached to the cardboard backing on the front above the photograph and on the back bottom left hand corner identified the photograph as the "GLEE CLUB 1929." The photograph also appears in the 1930 Etosian and is identified as the, "Girls' Glee Club." The drawback is the Etosian doesn't list any of the names of the individuals in the photograph.
