Letter dated 5 June 1950 from Maurice Linford at Urbana, Illinois, to his sister, Zilla Linford Richards, in response to her letter sent from Cairo, Egypt310 $est Delaware, Urbana, June 5 Dear Zilla, Your letter of May 25 from Cairo arrived, today noon. I can well understand your difficulties, but we would be very happy to have you stop here if you can. Elaine and Sy expect to be back from their trip either June 13 or 14, so will'be in town and glad to see you. I am not planning any long trips this month ( the department budget is too short) and any one-day trip could be shifted to a different date on short notice, so* do not feel that you would be likely to miss me or that you would inconvenience any of us. Any longer trips must be postponed until the new fiscal year starting July 1. Having written just a couple of days ago, there is no news to add, so this is just a note in duplicate, one to Henry's and one to Matt's. By the way, our home phone is Champaign ( no Urbana exchange) 7-6392. Usually there is someone here between 5 pm and 7:50 am. At the University, 7-6611, fey Extension is No. 2233. You must have had a lot of interesting experiences; certainly your letter suggests that you could tell us a lot, and we hope you have a chance to do so soon. Love
