Transcript (typescript, 57 pages) of an interview with Jim Yoshio Tazoi, a Japanese-American living in Utah in 1985. Mr. Tazoi (b. 1919) talks about his family roots in Japan, and his childhood in Garland, where his father worked for the Utah-Idaho Sugar Company. He went to the Utah State Agricultural College in Logan and joined the National Guard. He was transferred to the 442nd and sent to Italy, where he was wounded in battle.
