"To contribute to the expanding literature in the field of civic engagement, this dissertation is utilized qualitative case study research methods and a critical epistemological perspective to examine a university-community partnership's collaborative process...The findings suggest that although the partnership's participants appeared to have intentions that were closely aligned with the tenets of dialogue, various factors inhibited the actual process from evolving as one that was comprehensively dialogical. Several recommendations are posited for the development of university-community partnership that processes that are dialogical."abstrac
