During the spring of the year members of the Chamber of Commerce formed caravan and visited farms in the Ashley Valley, Lapoint, Ballard, Randlett and Ouray Valleys. It was a different tour each year. Alfalfa fields and corn patches were inspected. Irrigation canals and ditches were surveyed. Cattle and sheep were also inspected.
