Add to ORKGThe Uintah Railway had to run freight wagons between the communities and Watson. The stage line from Ft. Duchesne to Dragon had three relays: the first stop was at Ouray, the second at Chipeta and the third was at Ignatio. the Dragon to Vernal run the stops were a Ignatio, Kennedy Station, and Alhandra. Every pair of horses had twenty-four hours rest after each run and every fifth day the rested for thirty-six hours. The freight teams took four days for the trip with the same horses being used all the way. Under good conditions the round trip took eight days, but on one occasion during rough weather a wagon was on the road twenty-six days
