Wash-out that occurred at bottom of left bank at canal Station 583+80. Bottom grade of canal at this Station is at approximately original ground. Washout occured when the Ashley Upper Canal iced up and water flowed into this canal at Station 570+00. These were only approximately 8" depth of water in canal when this occurred. Canal at this point is on fill of old wash
