Volume2/1983_November22INTERCOM Rackley To Head Nutrition Care Laura Rackley began working for University Medical Center Nutrition Care Service while still in high school on the night tray line . . . preparing trays for patients. For the next 15 years, she worked her way up the ladder, through college and was recently appointed the new director of Nutrition Care Service. "I've worked in the dish room, production, the storeroom, as a diet clerk and I've passed trays to patients," Laura says. "I knew in high school that I wanted to go into dietetics, and worked part- time and full-time as much as I could until I got my degree." Laura got a B.S. degree in Nutrition Science in 1973.
