D, professor of ophthalmology and adjunct professor of physiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine, has been awarded a Jules and Doris Stein Research to Prevent Blindness ( RPB) Professorship. The prestigious award has been presented to only 20 scientists since it was created in 1984. Marc, who joined the U faculty in March of 1993, will receive a total of $ 350,000 over five years.
