According to Russell and Rubinstein, primary intracranial sarcomas can be distinguished from other sarcomas and from meningiomas with malignant histologic changes. These sarcomas occur predominantly in infants and children and are quite rare. The clinical history is short, and deterioration is usually rapid, either because of the intractable behavior of the tumor or because of its rapid recurrence after surgical removal
