Apraxia of eyelid opening has been described in neurodegenerative disorders as well as in patients with right frontal lobe stroke. The mechanism is unknown, but believed to be of supranuclear origin. The author describes a case of a patient with injury to the 3rd, 4th, and 6th cranial nerves unilaterally from a sphenoid wing meningioma that displays characteristics of a monocular apraxia of eyelid opening
