In children with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1), the prevalence of optic pathway glioma (OPG) is as high as 20%, with nearly one-half of these patients developing vision loss. Optic nervetortuosity (ONT) in the absence of thickening or gadolinium enhancement is often found on MRI of NF-1 patients.
