Congenital occipital lobe lesions causing isolated homonymous hemianopias comprise a neuro-ophthalmologic subject of many faceted interests. These include: 1) The clinical profile of the patient. 2) Perimetric peculiarities of the homonymous hemianopia. 3) Transneuronal retrograde degeneration in the retina striate pathway. 4) Neurodiagnostic confusion caused by congenital hemianopias. 5) CT findings, gross and subtle, in occipital lobes of patients with congenital hemianopia. 6) Developmental neuropathologic causes of occipital lobe abnormalities. 7) Saccadic ocular motor strategies employed by patients with congenital hemianopia. 8) The DMV and the patient with congenital hemianopia
