Neurocutaneous syndromes feature both cutaneous and neurologic lesions, and, by convention, the term is usually limited to congenital rather than acquired conditions. The various neurocutaneous disorders have diverse clinical manifestations, pathologic features, and genetics, and the whole concept of neurocutaneous disorders is arguably less meaningful in light of insights provided by modern genetics
