Presenting Symptom: Loss of vision OD. Pathology: Chorioretinal scar. Clinical: The patient was a 16-year old male with a 3-week history of blurred vision. Examination of the right fundus showed an old chorioretinal scar, characterized by pigmentation and opaque tissue above the macula, with a fresh infiltrative lesion at its lower pole. The overlying retina was detached by serum extending down to and below the macula. The patient had no systemic symptoms, but his toxoplasmin dye test was positive in dilutions of 1:4096.
