Dr Bosma was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1916. Dr Bosma received his A.B. from Calvin College in 1937 and his M.D. from the University of Michigan in 1941. Dr Bosma completed his Internship at Cleveland City Hospital and his Residency at Western Reserve Hospital from 1941-1944. Dr Bosma was a National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis Fellow from 1944-1946 and a Kellogg Fellow from 1946-1948. Dr Bosma was Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University from 1948-1949 and Professor and Chair from 1949-1959. Dr Bosma left the University to go to the Karolinska Institute and Wenner-Gren for Experimental Biology in Stockholm from 1959-1961.
