Mining town of Bingham. Gold, silver, lead, and then copper were mined in Bingham. General Partrick Conner's men from Fort Douglas actually staked the first claim in the canyon. At its peak, Bingham was seven miles long but less than a city block wide. The town was unincorporated in 1971 and demolished to make way for further mining development
