Abstract

Family gathering at the bridge at Collinston. Head at left of Jacob Bigler; next, with arms folded, Hyrum Standing; lady in white blouse at rear center is Mrs. Hyrum (Olga) Standing; on her left, Elizabeth Standing, James Standing, Jr., Mrs. James (Eliza) Standing; children of Hyrum Standing, Theresa, Arnold and Russel. Traveling wagon and buggy salesman at right whose goods are on display.Collinston was originally called Hampton or Hampton Ford for Ben Hampton who run a toll ferry across the Bear River. Hampton was later named Collinston in honor of Collins Fulmer, a favorite conductor on the Utah Northern Railroad
