Investigation of thermodynamic properties of poly (2-hydroxy-3- benzophenoxypropyl methacrylate-benzyl methacrylate) copolymer by ınverse gas chromatography

Bu çalışmada (2-hidroksi-3-benzofenoksipropil metakrilat0.45 - benzil metakrilat) kopolimerinin ters gaz kromatografisi (IGC) ile polimer-prob sistemleri için termodinamik özellikleri incelendi. Farklı sıcaklıklarda prob olarak bir seri alkan ve alkol kullanıldı. Her bir prob kolona enjekte edilerek probların spesifik alıkonma hacimleri ( o Vg ) tayin edildi. Camsı geçiş sıcaklığı Tg’ yi tayin etmek için (1/T; ln o Vg ) grafikleri çizildi. Her iki grafikten de P(HBFPMA0.45-ko-BMA)’ nin camsı geçiş sıcaklığı 98 oC olarak bulundu. Tg’nin altındaki sıcaklıklarda adsorpsiyon ısısı Ha ve Tg’nin üzerindeki sıcaklıklarda sorpsiyona ait G1 s , H1 s ve S1 s değerleri hesaplandı. Sonsuz seyreltik hal için polimer-çözücü etkileşimleri  1 ,  12 , G1  ve H1  değerleri ve aynı sıcaklık aralığında kopolimerin çözünürlük parametreleri (2) bulundu. P(HBFPMA0.45-ko-BMA)’nin çözünürlük parametreleri (2) sıcaklık arttıkça azaldı. Bulunan sonuçlar kullanılan probların kopolimer için zayıf çözücü olduğunu gösterdi.In this work, The thermodynamic properties of (2-hydroxy-3-benzophenoxypropyl methacrylate0.45-benzyl methacrylate) copolymer were investigated by inverse gas chromatography (IGC) for polymer-probe systems. A series of alkanes and alcohols were used as probes at different temperatures.The specific retention probe volumes (o Vg) of probes were determined by injecting each probe into the colon. The glass transition temperatures were determined by the plot of ln (o Vg) againts 1/T. In both graphs, the glass transition temperature of P(HBFPMA0.45-ko-BMA)was found to be 98 oC. The adsorption temperature Ha at temperatures below Tg and G1 s, H1 s and S1 s of the sorption at temperatures above Tg were calculated. The polymer-solvent interactions  1 ,  12 , G1  and H1  for the infinite diluted state and the solubility parameters () of the copolymer at the same temperature range were found. The solubility parameters () of P(HBFPMA0.45-ko-BMA) decreased as the temperature increased. These results showed that the probes used were poor solvents for the copolyme
