Er+3 (üç değerlikli erbiyum iyonu) katkılı baryum tantalat fosforları katı hal reaksiyon metoduyla 1425 °C ’de 20 saat sinterlenerek üretilmiştir. Üretilen numuneler X–ışınları difraktometresi (XRD), taramalı elektron mikroskobu (SEM), enerji dağılımı spektroskopisi (EDS) ve görünür–lazer fotoluminesans (FL) analizleri ile karakterize edilmiştir. XRD analizinde, Er+3 katkılı BaTa2O6 yapısı %10 mol oranına kadar tek fazlı yapı özelliğini sürdürürken, %10 mol üzeri seviyelerde az oranda ErTaO4 fazı ortaya çıkmıştır. SEM analizlerinde Er+3 katkılı BaTa2O6 tanelerin boyutu katkı artışına bağlı olarak küçülme göstermiştir.
