Konversiyon bozukluğu (KB) herhangi bir organik bir sebep olmadan bireyin motor ve/veya duyu fonksiyonlarında kayıp ile karakterizedir. Burada sol alt ekstremitede kuvvetsizlik, yürümede zorluk ve parestezi şikayetleri olan 39 yaşında bir erkek hasta sunulmuştur. Nörolojik bulgularını açıklayacak olası hastalıklar dışlandıktan sonra KB tanısı konmuştur. Sitalopram 20 mg/gün dozunda başlanmış ve psikiyatri kliniğinde takibe alınmıştır. Üç ay sonraki takibinde, hastanın şikayetleri düzelmiştir.
