Investigation of Science and Classroom Teachers’ TeachingLearning Understandings

The aim of this study is to investigate the teaching-learning conceptions of pre-service teachers who are studying in the science teaching and classroom teaching departments and also who will carry out science courses in the future. The current study employing survey model was conducted on a total of 141 fourth year pre-service teachers (71 are pre-service science teachers and 70 are pre-service classroom teachers) in the fall term of 2015-2016 academic year. “Teaching-Learning Conception Scale” was used as a data collection tool. İt was concluded that the female pre-service teachers have higher level conception of constructivist approach than the male students and the pre-service classroom teachers have higher level conception of constructivist approach than the pre-service science teachers.Bu çalışmanın amacı gelecekte fen bilimleri dersini yürütecek, fen bilgisi ve sınıf öğretmenliği programlarında öğrenim görmekte olan öğretmen adaylarının sahip olduğu öğretme-öğrenme anlayışlarını incelemektir. Tarama yöntemiyle yürütülen bu çalışma, 2015-2016 Eğitim-Öğretim yılı güz dönemi 4. sınıfta öğrenim gören 71 Fen bilgisi ve 70 Sınıf öğretmen adayı olmak üzere toplam 141 öğrenci üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Veri toplama aracı olarak, “Öğretme-Öğrenme Anlayışları Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Cinsiyet açısından kadın öğretmen adaylarının, erkek öğretmen adaylarına göre; program türü açısından da Sınıf öğretmen adaylarının, Fen bilgisi öğretmen adaylarına göre daha fazla yapılandırmacı anlayışa sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır
