SS: In Your Own Sweet Way, one of your more famous tunes in terms of being covered by other musicians. Can you tell us just a little bit about the origin of that particular tune? DB: We were playing in Rochester, New York, and at that time, we were still playing mostly the trio tunes. And, Paul had joined the group. So, he was just improvising on what we knew as a trio what I had written or played with the trio. And, after the concert, he said, Dave, we\u27ve got to get somebody to write us some music, some new tunes. I think we are just only playing standards. And I said, You must be kidding, Paul. I can write two tunes in a half hour. And so I wrote In Your Own Sweet Way, and The Waltz. In Your Own Sweet Way became a standard, a jazz ...
