THESIS 8834This thesis is a study of John Lynch\u27s Alithinologia (St Malo, 1664) and Supplementum alithinologiae (St Malo, 1667). Lynch, Catholic archdeacon of Tuam, was the foremost Irish Catholic intellectual of the second half of the seventeenth century, and in the Althinologia Lynch offered his own extensive analysis of the politics and culture of the Catholic confederation which governed much of Ireland during the 1640s
