The work presents a contribution to the study of elastic bodies in dry friction contact. This study is applied to the case of a cylinder in contact with a half-space, under normal and torque loading, in a plane stress State. In order to obtain the State of stresses nearby the contact region and compare results, it was used the Finite Element Program Ansys 5.0 and the Experimental Techniques of Plane Photoelasticity and Tridimensional Photoelasticity.
