Part 2: Production Management in Food Supply ChainsInternational audienceThe state of Piaui is inserted in the broiler production chain in a significant way as a feed-ration supplier in a vast new agricultural frontier. The present case study analyzes the evolution of a local company, as the Northeast presents itself as a promising market when comparing regional and national per capita consumption. For the present study, production costs were classified in the items of feed, labor, cost of capital, depreciation. Prices of the finished product (broiler meat) were investigated.
